The crew of a shrimping boat radioed for help and had to be rescued. A huge bull shark reported to be 14 foot long took a likeing or possibly a dislikeing to the shrimp boats propeller. The shark bit of the propeller and the boat started taking on water. Two hours later help arrived. The Captain, Roger Schmall, was pumping water trying to keep his shrimp boat afloat. The crew took refuge on the rescuing craft while they were being toed to port. It worked for a while but the boat eventually took on to much water had to be abandoned and sank.
